Wow!!! What A Year... 2014... HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!

2014 has been filled with a lot of highs and a lot of lows.... I will start with the death of my father.  He had been fighting cancer and ended up losing that battle on April 13th.  I never knew how hard it would be to lose a parent.... He has been my go to guy through out my life and I love him dearly!  Although it was and still is very hard to imagine that he is no longer with us.... I am forever thankful for the time that I got to spend with him.  Not just time.... QUALITY time.  I'm pretty sure that he knew how much he was loved.  I will forever hold that time with him near and dear to my heart.  I am so thankful for my Mom and the super strong woman that she is... I'm not quite sure what I would do without her.  She now has to fill the shoes of being Mom and Dad, and I'm pretty sure dealing with all the people in my family those are big shoes to fill.  Sorry Mom!  I love and appreciate you more than you will every know! We also lost our near and dear friend Dr. Haase this year... in October to cancer.  We have many memories with him.  Mainly playing the guitar at all of our celebrations and BBQ's we had at our house.  Haase and Rob were very close friends and Rob has had a hard time with his death. BBQs at our house will never be the same.  My cousin Sommer's son was in an ATV accident in November and is still in a coma... We are praying for him daily to wake up and get better.  Sommer is my closest cousin and I love her so much!

As for the highs of the year.... I count the time I spent with my dad as one of them.  After he passed away, it inspired me to register for some runs.  I ran the Disney half marathon in August and had a ton of fun... But the main event was the St. George marathon where I qualified for the Boston with a time of 3:34.  I can't even begin to tell you how excited, and proud I was of myself.  For me it was the best thing ever.... Next to having my beautiful children and marrying Rob... Ha ha ha!  It's only because I beat my 26 year old self.  I also ran the Surf City 10 in October and the Snow Canyon Half in November... finishing 2nd in my age group.

We have kept ourselves busy with lots of activities for the girls and they are doing so great!  If I could think of a better word than proud I would, because there are no words to express how proud I am of them.  They are amazing children and they amaze me everyday!  Talk about some smart little girls!
I totally scored when I found Mister Roberto... I love and adore him so much!  It is so great to be married to my bestest bud!  We always have so much fun together... and I love that he supports me and makes me want to be a better person.

I'm excited for 2015.... not to thrilled that we are all getting older.... but excited for the things to come.   The stages that my little beauty queens will go through.  The things that they will learn and see this year!  And.... I don't want to miss a thing!  Anyway, I really don't make resolutions because I believe that we should be working on being better all the time, and that everyday is a new day to try.  But... if I were to pick something or theme to work on this year it would be GRATITUDE!  Just being thankful in every circumstance, because we all should be thankful to be in a circumstance.... ha ha ha ha... As long as we are healthy.  If that makes sense.  Oh yeah... I also want to work on writing more on my blog to go along with all the pictures....  Charley asked me if she will be able to live to 1,000 years old and I told her that the oldest man ever was 119.  I told her that a person is very fortunate to make it to 100.... We don't live very long but our story can live forever.  Then I gave her examples... We still talk about Jesus, and he only lived to be 38.  We still talk about Leonardo Di Vinci, Abraham Lincoln, Columbus, Albert Einstein, Mother Theresa.... The list goes on and on.  So heres to trying to make a story.  Well,  signing off for the year!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!  XOXOXO!  "Party on Wayne.... Party on Garth!"  See ya in 2015!

We spent the night playing board games and singing karaoke.... of course that is Rob passed out next to the board game.  Party pooper!  LOL!
