Okay... So I remember bringing this little girl home from the hospital. Rob was working nights and I was terrified. God had trusted me with this little human being that was completely depending on me. Me? Seriously... Me? I was actually a MOM? Anyway, I had read all of the literature of what to expect. Let me tell ya, nothing can prepare you. In fact if I wrote a book on parenting the title would be "Winging It" because that is exactly what you do. That is what I did and still do. I have to say that this little Angel made my job pretty dang easy... and I have to say that she makes me look pretty dang good. I've screwed up a lot in my life and hope and pray that I am doing something right when it comes to being a good mom. Well, Charley makes me feel like I'm getting something right. She is compassionate, kind, super smart, talented, adventurous, loving, and spiritual. She loves learning and reading. She is like a sponge... seeking to know. She sets such a good example! My favorite word she says is "Sure". I will ask her to do something... "Sure"! I will ask her if she wants to go somewhere with me.... "Sure"! She is just so easy going and easy.... I could go on and on. I love her so much and I love her for being her! I hope that I can be the Mom she deserves! Love you Monkey... Always and forever... beyond infinity and then some!
We had so much fun on her birthday.... She wanted to do something easy and stress free. Thank goodness! We celebrated all day with family. We had lunch at Pizza Factory, went swimming, went to the book store, and had a movie night at Grandmas house watching Goonies. We had loads of laughs, especially taking pictures with the masks on! Anyway, it was so much fun! Yes..... eight is great!!!!
