Happy Mothers Day!!!

Happy Mothers day!!!
My greatest accomplishment in my life is becoming a mother and I am so blessed.  I just have to say that I am so thankful that I have this woman as my mother and example.  She is one of my most favorite people on this planet and I think that she is amazing and beautiful!  I have to say that my mom can accomplish more in a day than any one I know and has more talent in her little finger than most people. Betty Crocker, Martha Stewart, and Bob Villa haven't got nothing on her!  I just want her to know how much I love her and admire her.... Thank you for being the best mom and Grandma on the planet!!!  I LOVE you Mom!

The Most Amazing Grandmother EVER!!!!

My dear Grandmother Afton Gibson passed away on April 23, 2013 at the age of 93.  She was one of the most amazing women I have ever known.  She was such a great example to me and I will never forget her or the wonderful memories that I have!!!   I spent a lot of my childhood begging to go to Grandma's house.  She provided such a wonderful home and haven for all of us grandkids.  When I think of her I think of the quote... "How do you spell LOVE.... T-I-M-E!"  She spent so much time with all of us.  One of the things that she did that I think everyone will remember is the HUGE Sunday dinners at her house... She never forgot our birthdays and knitted hats, house slippers, and blankets for all of our special occasions.  She even knitted a blanket for me when I graduated high school.  I have to say that Grandma's house was the funnest place on earth... Us grandkids were never bored.  She never had any of the high tech stuff that we have now and still managed to make all her own food from scratch, can and bottle fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden, do laundry with out a washer and dryer, and take care of 9 children.  Not to mention she volunteered more than 25 years of her time to the hospital and Historical Society, and also donated blood on a regular basis.  Grandma did not have a selfish cell in her body.  I am sooooo blessed to have had such a wonderful example and I am so thankful to have had her for so many years!!!!  I LOVE you Grandma more than you will every know and am so happy that my MOM is so much like you.... because she also is a superwoman, mom, and grandma.   I pray that I have my mom around as long as you were!!!!!  Love you to the moon and back.... Rest in peace and give the rest of the family that I miss dearly loves and hugs!!!!
